Although one feels, or even thinks he knows he is dying, I would argue that he is in fact learning how to better live. He is forced into presence and easily disregards typical distractions. He is forced to dig deep to his essence in search of the pulp truths of love and perception. As he ponders most everything most healthy people take for granted, he is soon able to reveal the love and truth of perception to the world in a glorious blaze of miracles on his way to the next level.
Although some would say he were falling behind in the game, he is well ahead of it. He may at times feel as if he hadn't been given the choice, but in fact, if you were to ask his higher self you'd discover he did, he just has no present recognition. He has agreed to force himself deeper into himself while he's here to help everyone else. When facing death, he is able to achieve much more than the average healthy person distracted by the world.
All is truly in divine and perfect order with the dying, but very few understand it. This slow death of the human ego is the birth of life and beauty as his eternal self emerges on earth in fabulous fashion on his way through it. It's a glorious blaze indeed.
