Translation

when my mind translates to my heart
my life becomes frustrating, confusing, and empty.

When my heart translates to my mind
my life seems to be inspired to the pursuit
of happiness through goodness and kindness.

Yet, all I have done for the first part of my life
is train my mind

Perfect Knowledge

I do wish to know

one thing

had I had perfect knowledge of what is important
would these seeming failures in life
be right

I imagine a veil being pulled away

If i wish for one thing
it is to take away this enormous mystery from my life

it is a shame
I must live this life of consequence
not knowing true knowledge

all my attempts at guessing this knowledge
seemed to take me nowhere

from nothing you can touch
as if from the heavens
it moves to its destination
fast as the natural forces will pull it
to be destroyed on arrival

is it a raindrop from 10,000 feet

it rains
and all rain goes the same way
has the same destination
earth
and it will die
or be separated to indefinable little parts
that sink into the earth
never to be seen again

it rains

I arrived mysteriously
from nothing
I move forward
as fast as I can

but all raindrops hit the earth
and die

yet it rains
and always will

it will go on
and there are an infinite
number of drops

and nobody knows why it rains
or why it started to rain

we can describe how it rains
what composes it
how the life process works

but no man can explain where rain came from
maybe the conditions, yes
but not the why

why on every planet we know to exist
it does not rain

only here it rains


only here

only here we find souls
